10,000!

I have surpassed the 10,000 hit mark. Yay for The Badgerine. Hopefully I will have more published stories to report here soon.

One of my favorites, “Desert Walkers”, was just rejected by Fantasy and Science Fiction. I’m still waiting on “The Cost That Lies Between Heaven and Earth” which was sent to Weird Tales and “Little Pieces” which is currently being evaluated by Pseudopod.

J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets

On the eve of the Jets-Colts AFC Championship I am filled with great optimism. Yes, I, a Jets fan, have finally, once again allowed myself to dream.

1998 was a great year. The Jets were 30 minutes from the Super Bowl and they blew it. So, it was still a great year. 1999 was going to be THE year. Nothing would stand in our way. Yeah, that lasted 5 minutes into the season.

There is not enough space on the internet for me to list the litany of errors, the reek of failure, and the stench of futility that has surrounded the Jets.

This time it feels different. I think the Jets will beat the Colts. I’m not used to feeling that way and I like it. Win or loose I am also hopeful for next year as well. The same core of guys are coming back and our QB and head coach won’t be rookies anymore.

Also, I have finally lifted my boycott of buying an overpriced Jets jersey. Everyone has Sanchez, and although I want one I think everyone will also have a Revis with the exposure he has gotten this post-season. I’m thinking maybe fellow New Jersian Shonn Greene or Wisconsin Badger Jim Leonhard? What do you guys think?

Painkiller to be Published!

I have ended 2009 on a high note. I’m not talking about all the beer I drank at the Borgata. On new year’s eve my short story “Painkiller” was excepted for publication by House of Horror and is slated for issue #10.

The link is: http://www.houseofhorror.org.uk/#/home/4534063502

Painkiller is a tale of suffering and temptation. The editor said, “I really enjoyed this one, very original and entertaining read. Great job!”

Painkiller now joins Infestation on Pseudopod.org on my list of publications. I honestly expected to have published more than 2 stories published in 2009 but I didn’t realize how long the process took.

Anyway, I’ll let you know when it’s up and I hope to publish many more in 2010.

Happy New Year!
